Last month I celebrated the 3rd anniversary of HER ETIQUETTE! And I was actually going to prepare a proper BEST OF 3 YEARS for you…
So I looked back, right to the beginnings, to the day I knew the name of the blog, to the day I created the website and logo, to the day, I was so excited for her-etiquette.com going live (in my 45 min lunch break), to sleepless nights working on social media content besides my bank job, to the day taking the decision to quit my full-time bank job and to found my luxury marketing and consulting firm. to the craziest adventures, to unforgettable moments and the wildest journeys, to fairytales, to people I met, to family, to good friends, to new friends, to old friends, to no-longer friends, to business partners, to collaborations, to situations, to fears and tears, to laughter… to dreams that became a reality, to miracles that happened to me when least expected, to partnerships that grew, to partnerships that ended, to learnings and blessings, to growing up, to taking responsibilities, to building a brand, to building a future, my own future – day by day, to ideas becoming projects.
Then I realized, what I have actually gained in these past three years: Knowledge, experience and trust in myself.
Yesterday was International Women’s Day. Preparing some posts for that day, I asked myself: what was my personal BEST OF those 3 years entrepreneurship?
I also spoke to women, who asked me many questions about starting and developing my business. That’s why, instead of sharing my favorite lifestyle experiences (let’s do that for the 5th anniversary with a big party), today I want to share with you, some notes I would tell my younger self about becoming a female entrepreneur in the luxury industry.
Here are 10 notes, to my younger self – back to that day when I started my own business…
Have no fear to accept new opportunities. They are there to challenge you. Face them. Take them on and you’ll see, you’ll eventually grow into them.
Don’t ever let anyone push you into a direction that does not feel good for you, or make you question your values. Chose quality over quantity. Quality will always win.
… just because they don’t understand your vision. Think big. Everything you imagine can possibly become reality.
Your gut feeling is always right. And you know that. Feel more, think less. Let energies speak.
… on your way forward. That’s life and it’s OK. Not everyone/everything is meant to stay in your life and on your path forever.
You should rather feel guilty for being fake by saying/doing something only to please somebody. Staying true to yourself is your power. Keep that and stand up for it.
Don’t over-argue about misfortune situations or about people trying to put you down. Let Karma solve it. Also: remember, what goes around, comes back around. Be good, if you want to receive good.
They happen! 🙂
You, your mindset, your actions are your only power. If you believe  in yourself, you can spread your message authentically, so others will believe in you too.
Period.
… to be continued.
