How to stay beautiful inside and out, this Winter season? There are definitely some little helpers on the market. I have personally tested a variety of product novelties this winter season and have hand-picked the best ones for you:
That the Swiss mineral water VALSER, for example, is one of the best quality waters on the market, I have learned at a water tasting with a water sommelier at the Quellenhof in Bad Ragaz.
Dr. Barbara Sturm’s Facial Scrub (that I also use for my body) is the best way to exfoliate (and detox) the skin, to enhance a healthier and fresher look and feel.
Same goes actually for my ultimate favorite (I’ve got at least one in each pocket or handbag), the Dior LipScrub, that makes sugar particles melt on your lips which transform into a healthy glow.
This winter, I’ve started a new routine, which is lightening a candle first thing in the morning, drinking my hot lemon-ginger-water and meditating for 10 minutes. There is nothing better than waking up to this unbelievably good smell of Jo Malone candles. It’s a true mood booster for the day. On weekends I take feel-good baths with Jo Malone bath oils (or for detoxifying and balancing, I use alkaline base baths by Susanne Kaufmann).
Speaking of Detox – no better month to start your detox plan, than January! Unless I take time to undergo a real detox week at my regular places VIVA MAYR or LANSERHOF, I also use a few detoxifying treatments on the go or simply include them into my daily routine at home. One of my latest discoveries has been the dream detox patches. Lavender patches that you stick on your feet soles over night (most relaxing night and sweetest dreams you can imagine), they’ll detox your system over night and you just take them off in the morning.
Toxins out – vitamins in. My latest best friend at the gym is called VITAMIN WELL Upgrade Water (lemon – cactus taste). Vitamin D, B, Zinc, Magnesium and many more boost my workouts to the next level (usually at HOLMES PLACE Zurich or at the hotel gym, when I travel).
Speaking of vitamins. Ever heard of Coenzym Q10? It’s a fantastic vitamin every woman should take to revitalize skin, wellbeing and the energy of the body, especially in winter. My favorite ones are by Burgerstein.
My final tip and latest the most effective energy-boost (ever), is ice-cold showers in the morning for at least 30 seconds (breathe just through it, it works!) or a 30 second stay in the ice-water pool after sauna. This practice will bring your mind, body, skin (also try wash your face with ice-water every morning) and energy to the next level. I promise. 😉
