The new Nespresso Professional CONGO ORGANIC coffee is a special (seasonal limited volume) coffee and the first coffee available for Office and HoReCa channels from Nespresso’s Reviving Origins program in which the Swiss brand is investing over CHF 10M from 2019 to 2023 to revive coffee industries in selected countries including the DR Congo, with the aim of encouraging rural economic development:
Part of the AAA Program, the Nespresso Reviving Origins Program’s objective is to revive high quality coffee production in challenged regions across the world. Long-term partnerships are established with farmers and communities to rebuild sustainable coffee production impacted by adversities such as conflict, economic or environmental disasters. This successful program has so far invested in regions across Colombia, Zimbabwe, Puerto Rico , Uganda and now the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Nespresso’s unique sustainable sourcing model in coffee producing countries, the Nespresso AAA Sustainable Quality™ Program, provides the foundation for the company’s work in 15 countries and involves more than 110,000 farmers across the world. Launched in 2003 in collaboration with NGO, The Rainforest Alliance, the program helps to improve the yield and quality of harvests, while protecting the environment and improving the livelihoods of farmers and their communities.
Single organic coffee capsules from local coffee producers from different parts of the world within the Nespresso Reviving Origins Program are now also available for professional use. The CONGO ORGANIC as a new seasonal offering to the range. The distinctive aromatics of these coffees are linked to the countries of origin, as well as to the ways of cultivating, harvesting and processing coffee, done by local farming communities. Nespresso Professionals clients such as hotels, restaurants and offices are able to truly present their clients a unique and meaningful offering which can be a conscious differentiator for their business.
Nespresso Professional solutions are adapted to specific business needs. The Nespresso Professional machines and coffee ranges are ideal for office environments, but also include specific solutions for hotels, restaurants, cafés and fine dining establishments.
