It was this time of the year again… In March, Switzerland welcomed Baselworld, its exhibitors, guests and media from all over the world. Baselworld also means that the Forbes teams from the Headquarters in New York and London travel to Zurich. And when in Forbes is in town, there is no way for us not throwing a good party here. So we did – again.
For the second time in 2 years I (and my agency HER CONCEPT) had the honor organize an exclusive, Forbes Dining Experience for a selected number of our best clients and friends at The Dolder Grand in Zurich. Together with Jessica Sibley (Senior Vice President Sales at Forbes), Michael Solomon (Editor of ForbesLife) and Charles Yardley (SVP Managing Director Forbes Europe) and Mark Jacob, I hosted the magical evening with the theme: Fire & Light.
Our artistic calligrapher Muriel created beautiful invitations. Each guest received a room key of The Dolder Grand’s Maestro Suite by mail, which was the entrance badge for our event.
The aperitif and first course were served at the luxury hotel’s most extraordinary Maestro Suite overlooking Zurich, the lake and the alps. The weather was just perfect. Our guests enjoyed a stunning sunset and mystique views of the moon and the stars at night. This mood continued right away at our seated dinner at The Dolder Grand’s Bar. The bar known for its extraordinary Harry Potter like hanging candle sky was for the very first time transformed into a dreamy gala dinner location with a candle light dinner table setting, matching the theme “Fire & Light”.
A seven course Asian inspired light dinner was served throughout the night accompanied by live music. Mark Jacob (Managing Director of The Dolder Grand), Michael Solomon (Editor in Chief, ForbesLife) and Jessica Sibley (Senior Vice President Global Sales at Forbes) held speeches during the event. The 7 course dinner ended with a burning cocktail surprise and a Forbes Quote of The Day fortune cookie – which caused a lot of laughter, inspiration and fun.
