On the occasion of World Oceans Day, La Mer launched it’s annual collector’s edition of the “Creme de la Mer” to raise awareness for the protection of the oceans and the La Mer Blue Heart Oceans Fund. The fund focuses on protecting ocean habitats by expanding Marine Protected Areas and empowering ongoing ocean conservation projects around the globe.
This year La Mer also supported its Blue Heart Oceans Fund with a remarkable campaign throughout New York: The La Mer Wave Walk. La Mer created an art exhibition by bringing together 50 culture-defining personalities such as celebrities, designers, artists, entrepreneurs and letting them create and design their own wave art work. These personalities were able to bring their message to the world. The results ended in a striking art walk through New York, with each piece being auctioned at the end of the campaign, in collaboration with ocean conservation organization Project 0 and Sotheby’s. All net proceeds going to ocean protection efforts.
