June 8, 2019 is World Oceans Day. That’s why June has become the month in which we celebrate the Ocean and our blue planet. Individuals and organizations therefor globally raise awareness to creating a better environment for the generations to come. The aim of World Oceans Day – and everyday – is to protect our shared ocean from all kinds of (human created) dangers, such as plastic waste, pollution and climate change.
To honor our planet and its resources, one of my everyday skincare brands LA MER (which I – personally and professionally – have a great history with) has founded the La Mer Blue Heart Oceans Fund. “The Fund is committed to helping protect marine habitats across the globe. Through awareness-raising initiatives and charitable donations by the La Mer Blue Heart Oceans Fund in support of ocean conservation projects, and strives to ensure a future with flourishing seas for generations to come.”
3 POSITIVE FACTS ABOUT LA MER BLUE HEART
+ One of La Mer’s annual employee initiatives is, to collect and recycle (mostly plastic) waste from local waters, supported by professional divers and supervisors during a meet-up in June.
+ Another global initiative is the artistic design for the LA MER Blue Heart Limited Edition of the “Crème de la Mer“. It has soon become a collectors piece amongst La Mer Lovers, including myself.
+ Note: For every public post using #LaMerBlueHeart #LaMerDonation together in June 2019, the brand will donate $25 up to $650,000 to the La Mer Blue Heart Oceans Fund to support conservation projects around the world.
