Chanel has a way of making fragrance more than just a scent—it’s a statement about who you are. It reveals little secrets and tells stories, and with the new addition to the LES EXCLUSIFS DE CHANEL collection, there’s a whole new story to tell. Named COMÈTE, this fragrance is an homage to Gabrielle Chanel’s love for the night sky’s sparkling stars and comets, which not only inspired her designs but also symbolized her boundless optimism.

Every perfume in the LES EXCLUSIFS DE CHANEL collection is more than just a pleasant aroma; it’s a snapshot of Coco Chanel’s personality, capturing elements from her life and the symbols that meant the most to her. These aren’t your ordinary, everyday scents. They’re crafted without following trends or deadlines, relying solely on the instincts of CHANEL’s master perfumer, Olivier Polge, whom I met during an exclusive fragrance masterclass in Geneva to celebrate the launch of this new star. Oliver Polge describes it: «Fragrance at CHANEL is a state of mind. The expression of a style, an idea that go beyond the aesthetics of a raw material»,

The inspiration for COMÈTE sprang from the legendary Comète necklace, first showcased in CHANEL’s 1932 high jewelry collection. This piece, with its free-flowing design that elegantly hugs the wearer’s neck, beautifully mirrors the intimate trail a signature fragrance leaves on the skin.

COMÈTE  the fragrance, much like its namesake, aims to be a magical, unforgettable presence.

Delve into Comète and you’ll be greeted with a burst of fresh cherry blossom that quickly melds into a soft, powdery mix of heliotrope, iris, and musk. It’s a sophisticated, yet intensely floral scent that feels both rich and ethereal, a fitting tribute to a falling star.

The packaging of the fragrance is as understated as it is elegant. The perfume comes in a streamlined glass bottle topped with a classic black lid, housed inside a chic white box trimmed in black.

The special launch edition even features an embossed depiction of the iconic Comète necklace, adding a touch of glamour with a silver ink finish on the CHANEL logo.

COMÈTE is the perfect scent for anyone who believes in luck, in magic, and in the power of a beautiful perfume to lift spirits and turn heads.

In the universe of CHANEL, this is indeed a bright new star, which was celebrated by a lovely and light CHANEL lunch accompanied by organic wines by Domaine de l’Île and Château Rauzan-Ségla (both wine brands belong to the CHANEL Group).
