When humanitarian values meet Swiss innovation, the result is not just a skincare brand, but a philosophy and a role model for the beauty industry. Trude Viole Stene, founder of Triple Solution Skincare, has built her company on the principle that beauty can be both high-performance and high-purpose. From working with women’s cooperatives in Uganda, Nepal, and the Amazon to blending rare botanicals with state-of-the-art biotech, her vision redefines what modern luxury can mean.
In this conversation, she shares how her journey – from founding an NGO to pioneering sustainable skincare – has shaped Triple Solution’s ethos of Product, People, Planet and why simplicity, dignity, and connection are at the core of beauty today.
Trude Viole Stene: “My path has always been about creating with purpose. In 2020, when I was visiting one of Future4Children’s projects in Uganda, I got a really bad sunburn. Two local women offered me some homemade Nilotica butter, an ancient skin remedy they have used for generations. And it worked wonders!
When I later had it tested in Switzerland, the labs confirmed its extraordinary properties. That was the moment I realized how I could connect my business experience with my humanitarian work for a higher purpose: to create natural beauty that transforms the skin while at the same time having a positive impact on both people and the planet.”
TVS: “Our philosophy is more than a statement; it is the framework behind all our decisions.
Product means uncompromising excellence of our rare, precious botanicals combined with state-of-the-art Swiss biotech. They are all validated through rigorous testing and dermatological approvals.
People means that behind every ingredient are women in Uganda, Nepal, and the Amazon, whose harvesting creates sustainable income and preserves cultural knowledge.
Planet means protecting biodiversity by sourcing from wild trees, using sustainable packaging, refillable jars and planting trees for every product purchased.”
TVS: “What I learned is that true beauty begins with dignity and resilience. The women I have met in Uganda, Nepal, and the Amazon hold deep knowledge of plants and remedies passed down for generations. Their resilience is remarkable, despite tremendous hardships. Sometimes even a small increase in income, even a hundred euros more in a year, can bring profound change: school fees for children, food security, or greater independence and status in the community. And ultimately, their dreams are not so different from ours. Women everywhere want the best for their children and the chance to shape a better future. That understanding has shaped my approach to beauty: it must not only deliver extraordinary results for our skin but also honor and uplift the women behind the ingredients.”
Trude Viole Stene: “For me, simplicity is the purest form of luxury. I wanted women to feel confident that with just three products, they have everything their skin needs without any guesswork. Each formula is multifunctional, so the ritual is effortless while still highly effective.
At the same time, minimalism has another dimension: it reduces waste. Instead of endless jars and complicated routines, we focus on essentials that are perfected. In that sense, simplicity serves both ourselves and the planet.”
TVS: “Nature carries timeless intelligence, and science allows us to refine and magnify it. The rare botanicals we use such as Nilotica from Uganda, Himalayan apricot kernel, and Amazonian Sacha Inchi are rich in natural actives.
Through state-of-the art Swiss biotech, we replicate the effects of typical chemically derived ingredients like collagen, retinol, and hyaluronic acid, but in a 100 percent natural way.
This gives the skin the best of both worlds: purity without compromise, and performance without chemicals. The result is more than surface radiance. It strengthens the skin barrier, supports regeneration, and helps the skin remain resilient over time.
For me, this is the essence of modern luxury: when tradition and innovation work together to unlock a level of performance neither could achieve alone.”
TVS: “Conventional skincare often relies on synthetic ingredients in single-use plastic while our approach is completely different:
First, our products are 100% natural. The botanicals are wild and sourced from remote regions where the harvested nuts and blossoms provide income and thereby keeps the trees standing: in Uganda this prevents desertification, in the Himalayas the roots stop landslides, and in the Amazon the fragile ecosystem is being preserved.
Then, to ensure performance, we add high-performing naturally derived actives instead of chemicals.
Lastly, we use sustainable materials, refillable jars, and plant trees for every product purchased. Each ritual becomes both care for the skin and restoration for the planet.”
TVS: “I would like Triple Solution to inspire a new way of seeing skincare, not as a choice between performance and responsibility, but as the alignment of both. It is where advanced science and rare ancient wisdom meet, where personal rituals of care also strengthen communities and protect the planet. If we can shift the perception of luxury from indulgence to impact, we can create a standard where beauty delivers both visible results and lasting meaning.
Each time someone applies our products, I hope it feels like a small moment of happiness, a reminder that self-care and world-care can be one and the same. That is the influence I hope for: a skincare philosophy that makes The Beauty of Tomorrow possible today.”
Trude Viole Stene’s story is a reminder that luxury can be more than indulgence, it can be impact too. Triple Solution Skincare proves that The Beauty of Tomorrow lies in the balance between visible results, dignity for women, and care for the planet. A true role model, setting the right benchmark for the future of the beauty – not only for the end-customer, but for the whole industry alike.
As someone who has personally experienced the products in my own skincare ritual, I can say that their philosophy translates into both performance and meaning. You can read more about how I use Triple Solution Skincare in my daily routine here.
